musical monday (on tuesday!)

Whew! It's VBS week at our church, so the "Boomerang Express" songs seem to be in my head continually right now, but I'll spare you a blog about that!

At church on Sunday, Justin "introduced" a David Crowder song called Wholly Yours. Justin and I have become HUGE David Crowder fans, though to look at the guy, I would have never thought he'd sing music I like. It's not just his sound, either...his lyrics are incredible and often cause me to think in new ways through the imagery he uses. Check out the lyrics to this song and may God use it to draw you closer to Him this week!

I am full of earth
You are heaven’s worth
I am stained with dirt, prone to depravity
You are everything that is bright and clean
The antonym of me
You are divinity
But a certain sign of grace is this
From a broken earth flowers come up
Pushing through the dirt

You are holy, holy, holy
All heaven cries “Holy, holy God”
You are holy, holy, holy
I wanna be holy like You are
You are everything that is bright and clean
And You’re covering me with Your majesty
And the truest sign of grace was this
From wounded hands redemption fell down
Liberating man

You are holy, holy, holy
All heaven cries “Holy, holy God”
You are holy, holy, holy
I want to be holy like You are
But the harder I try the more clearly can I feel
The depth of our fall and the weight of it all
And so this might could be the most impossible thing
Your grandness in me making me clean

Glory, hallelujah
Glory, glory, hallelujah
You are holy, holy, holy
All heaven cries “Holy, holy God”
You are holy, holy, holy
I want to be holy, holy God

So here I am, all of me
Finally everything
Wholly, wholly, wholly
I am wholly, wholly, wholly
I am wholly, wholly, wholly Yours
I am wholly Yours
I am full of earth and dirt and You

Erin, love the song "Wholly Yours"
by David Crowder. I'll have to share it with Tom and Teresa in case they haven't heard it. We were
blessed last night at our Marvelous Monday Night service to have Chad Miller and a couple young ladies who sang with him. Chad goes to West Cabarrus and is serving as interim director there. Their band was there to accompany them and for the service.
They were outstanding. A couple of the praise songs were "Our God Saves" and "Unfailing Love", also
"In Christ Alone" which is a favorite of yours I know.
